What happened to the fantasy of having love and family?  The fact is that none of us is perfect.  We all have areas where we need help, especially when your carrying around a ton of stress.  Every little thing, like cutting your finger in the kitchen, can cause a bout of chaos, which just exacerbates your already tight schedule.  Carrying around all of this worry and concern lowers your immune system, which makes the possibility of picking up germs from your kids is likely.  Then you heal only to be lambasted again with the things you couldn’t do before your little accident.  Additionally, it is very likely that you are anemic as most women are, your reserves just don’t make it.

Scenarios That Can Make Your Life Unbearable

You have had a baby later in life as millions of women are now doing.  Well, older women don’t have the stamina of their colleagues who are younger and more resilient.  They get more tired and their hormones take longer to adjust.

Nine mothers out of ten have enough nutrients in their body to operate at a good clip.  Having a baby means taking supplements to help boost you.  Well, the problem is that you need to take vitamins for a long time before the benefits show up – more money and waiting.

Genetics also play an important role in predicting what might be in your future.  Women in your immediate family may have had endocrine problems and problems delivering a baby that raise the risk (and stress) of having their own children.

Health conditions that have plagued you in life just get worse as a new mother.  Women are more likely to enter familyhood suffering from pre-existing health problems than men.  These problems may come in the form of gastrointestinal problems, depression and auto-immune issues.

The dreaded post-partum depression is felt by one in ten mothers.  It’s effects often travel with women for a whole year or two.  If you have a such an episode, it is far more likely that you will have it again with another birth.

A lot of women suffer from depression and related maladies that are just multiplied with the birth of children and the accompanying hormonal changes.

A mother who is calm and more laid back will handle motherhood far easier than the high-strung, obsessive mother who has to have everything made perfectly.
