You might be a little anxious after holding the baby for some time in your hands. After all you have so much to plan and so many things to take care of. You will definitely find a lot of relatives and friends jumping in to give you expert advices on feeding, changing the diapers, and parenting. Be sure to spend some time alone with your child, only you and your partner. This will help you develop a special bond with your child and prevent the baby from overexcitement of the crowd.
Touch is the first sensation you will use to bond with your baby. Contradictory to myths which say the baby should not be picked to often or should not be spoiled, the researches show that the baby feels a sense of security when parents are more attentive to them and this makes them independent faster. In any case avoid handling the baby roughly or harshly. This can not only make your baby feel uncomfortable but can also prove to be fatal.
Some quiet moments spent along with the baby are the best moment to establish an emotional connection between the child and the parent. Spending some time together in silence is necessary for this special bonding.
