Preventing Hearth and Blood Vessels Problems
Cardiovascular disease is the word used to represent heart problems. One in five Americans have cardiovascular disease and many do not even know it. A breakdown in cardiovascular disease results in heart attack or a stroke, both of which can be fatal. Cardiovascular problems are the number one cause of death in the US.
Exercise, which we talk about in every article to date, is something that will really help with cardiovascular issues. The American Heart Association recommends half an hour of moderate to intense exercise five days a week. What a difference that will make in your life. You will miss the good feeling this activity if you quit. It’s a wonderful high that can replace any other ways of getting high that we have discussed This exercising routinely affects every single organ in your body and psychologically improves your mood swings and depression. It is a free commodity, why say no to something that feels good and is free? What, are we crazy?
When we’re in the doctor’s office the nurse has an opportunity to measure your blood pressure, which is the best indicator of your heart’s condition. When it is too high your body cannot take the nutrients from the blood and direct them into the body. You may get hardening of the arteries or inefficient movement of the heart due to plaque. Again, exercising for an hour five days a week should keep your free of open heart surgery or heart attacks and strokes.
Heart and vessel issues are often hereditary and if we continue our good regimen of quitting smoking, losing weight and exercising we can overcome what we may be predisposed to get. You will be bucking the odds. High sugar intake, and saturated fat with little fiber is a recipe for disaster, If you are not exercising much, you need to meet with your doctor to find other ways to beat this problem. The factors that increase the risk of cardiac disease are: high LDL cholesterol, obesity, high triglycerides, inactivity, diabetes, stress, family history, poor diet, smoking, and aging. As we mentioned before women, after menopause, have increased risk of heart disease and stroke. The factors that can counteract these problems are aerobic exercises are: preventing heart disease, decreasing osteoporosis risk, lowering blood pressure, reducing depression, reducing strokes, reducing cancer, preventing obesity, reducing stress, preventing diabetes, improving sleep and reducing cholesterol.
