Regular Chekups for Moms
Your body can carry on while also depleting your system and before you know it you have a problem. Women need to be very sensitive to their own signals so they can handle them before they get big. The lesson: don’t miss regular check-ups, especially if you’re newly pregnant. It might be something small with the thyroid gland and before you know it you are nearly depleted and need thyroid supplements. So again, we encourage you to sign in with your body to see what’s going on.
Another case in favor of check-ups is when you know something is wrong. You even have a saying about it but you don’t call your doctor for an appointment. Moms do this. They are so multi-tasking that they simply feel they cannot take on one more appointment. Unfortunately this appointment might make the other appointments more manageable. Guilt, stress, overworking are all typical conditions of a mom. Tell yourself what to do. We know how to do that.
Most mothers fortunately only need to be seen by a doctor once a year. That’s for a gynecologist, as well. Pap smears are often missed unless the women has pain. When you get to your doctor’s office stop and collect your thoughts, take deep breaths and go in and explain your concerns.
