Steps for Quick Conception
Baby-making involves a lot of planning and is surely not a one day task. But, this conception can be made faster if the couple sensibly knows the does and don’ts of conception. Here is a quick plan and a guide for the couples to follow upon:
Leave all the birth control efforts a few months ahead: When you are planning for the baby, just get off from the contraceptives a few months before. It is after some time of stopping of the pills and all, your body will start regular ovulation and thus you will be able to make out your fertile period when you should have sex with your partner.
Little efforts for figuring out the Fertile Days: It is very essential to know the key days of the month when you will be ovulating. If you miss these days, you have no option than to wait for the next month. Some common ways of finding the ovulation days are by measuring the basal body temperature, as this temperature will spike about 0.5 degrees when the female ovulates. Doctors also recommend Ovulation Predictor Kits which measures ovulation more accurately. These kits give you a warning which does not let you miss your ovulation days. Another math which can be done is to subtract 14 from menstrual cycle length (though this does not hold good always).
Get horizontal and busy with your partner: Baby-making sex must be done before you ovulate. The life of the egg is around 12-24 hours after is has been released. Thus, doing the sexual intercourse before ovulation increases the possibility that sperm is ready to welcome your egg as soon as it arrives!
Baby-making Sex do’s:
Rest on your back after sex: Gravity holds good everywhere and sperm are no exception. Staying on your back will allow the sperm to swim towards the eggs easily.
Sex positions do matter: though there is no hard and fast rule, but sex positions with women on top are not at all favored positions for baby-making sex.
Baby-making Sex Don’ts:
Do not use lubricant which many people think would help the sperm to swim quickly. Rather this may hinder with your conception. Some lubricants may also change the pH levels of vagina causing a deceased sperm mobility.
Do not worry if you do not have orgasm: This theory has no much medical significance that if you do not have orgasm then you will not get pregnant quickly. Orgasm may help to draw more sperm into the female vagina but then too this theory does not say that orgasm is necessary.
Test your pregnancy: Do some home pregnancy tests at the time when you are expecting to get the menstrual cycle as this is the time you will get accurate results. Testing too early may give you false results too.
Don’t panic if the tests are negative!
Most of the couples do not get success in their first trial for conception. Try to recalculate your ovulation and do not loose hope.
