Breastfeeding is one of the most common concerns that new mothers face. You may have several doubts regarding it. Here are some facts about what you can do as a mother that will help you along breast feeding your new born.

A baby can seem to be perpetually hungry and may need feeding more than eight times in a single day but that is only because breast milk is digested very easily. If your breast milk is reduced in supply the baby will crave for it even more. One way to ensure that you are able to feed your baby as and when she gets hungry is by having a proper meal yourself and avoiding exerting yourself too much.

A proper diet intake will ensure an adequate production of milk. Fresh fruits and vegetables along with whole grains and proteins will enhance your nutrition. You should however monitor the intake of dairy products in case your child has an allergy to it. Most newborns are fine with dairy product proteins that find their way into their mom’s milk.

You can continue to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee during your day without affecting the quality of your breast milk. However, it goes without saying that a healthy diet that you intake will produce better milk for your child to feed on.
